WHAT IS A DRY RUB? A dry rub is a flavourful coating whose purpose is to form a tasty crust on food. A rub contains seasonings and other natural binding ingredients. The binding ingredients used in the Orgasmic rubs are all natural, all gluten free, have no msg and do not use fillers. A seasoning agent is used sparingly and its purpose is to add flavour. THE DRY RUB'S PURPOSE The dry rub's primary purpose is to act as a barrier, allowing the protein or ingredient to retain its moisture during frying, deep frying, roasting or barbecuing - all the while adding lots of flavour. CAREFUL! CONSIDER THE FLAVOUR The seasonings within a dry rub alter in flavour when cooked. So, do not judge the rub by its raw flavours alone. Use it! Its wine pairing compatibility is based on its tastes, flavours and texture once cooked and enjoyed with its appropriate wine. GLUTEN FREE, NO MSG, NO FILLERS The dry rubs contain no food colourings, MSG, gluten, preservatives or additives. PACKAGING Each Ogasmic dry rub is packaged in a 'stand-alone' pouch, a multi-ply, high barrier zip lock pouch with stand up bottom gussets, zip locks and tear seals. HAND MADE Most dry rubs are created in bulk and then packaged. Over time the finer ingredients sink to the bottom of the bulk package, thus becoming imbalanced. This can lead to each individual package containing various amounts of different ingredients. For example, one package may be heavier in salt, while another may have more heat and spice than desired. This can be problematic to the true food and wine-pairing lover. Too much salt can ruin the taste, flavour and experience of a partnering wine. Too much heat and spice can actually increase the perception of heat of the diner's palate. The Orgasmic dry rubs are all made fresh when needed and are hand made for the true food and wine pairing experience.
